Joint Inspection Scheme Proposed for Da Chan Bay Terminal One

China’s Shenzhen Customs and Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau met today at Da Chan Bay Terminal One to advance the pilot program  for a new joint declaration, inspection and release clearance service.

The program reduces the number of required inspections for importers and exporters using Da Chan Bay and thus improves efficiency, the terminal said.

“The joint inspection of cargo eliminates the need to rehandle containers between inspections, thereby shortening the overall processing time by an average of two hours, while reducing instances of vessel delays,” said Benjamin Lai, CEO of Da Chan Bay Terminal One, in a written statement.
