Novoroslesexport, a subsidiary of Russia-based Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group, has received two new Liebherr LHM 550 cranes, with lifting capacities of 104 metric tons (about 115 tons) apiece.
The cranes are expected to be commissioned in February.
The new equipment helps fulfill one of the priorities in NCSP’s Development Strategy to 2020 to increase operational efficiency.
The technical characteristics of the cranes are also in line with the plan’s requirements to increase Novoroslesexport’s annual capacity to 700,000 20-foot-equivalent units, according to Albert Likholet, Novoroslesexport’s general director.
