Maersk Line said it will put a general rate increase into effect Dec. 1 on its services from Asia to the U.S.
Rates on Far East Asia-to-U.S. East Coast routes will go up by $480 per 20-foot, $600 per 40-foot, $675 per 40-foot-high cube and $760 per 45-foot-high cube dry container.
A lower scale of GRI will be implemented on dry cargo from Far East Asia to the West Coast of the U.S. The planned hikes will be $320 per TEU, $400 per FEU, 450 per 40-foot-high cube and $506 per 45-foot-high cube container.
“In order to continue offering our broad portfolio of services and high level of reliability, it will be necessary for us to implement a number of rate increases/restorations,” Maersk said.
