Port of Salalah, also known as Salalah Port Services, in Oman, recently reported container volume of 2.8 million 20-foot-equivalent units in the third quarter, up 15 percent from the same period in 2011.
Third quarter profit totaled US$13.2 million, a jump from $2.2 million in the third quarter of 2011.
Revenue in the first nine months of 2012 totaled $108.2 million, compared with $96.7 million during the same period last year.
The port will continue to collaborate with the Omani government to develop its infrastructure, airport and rail projects and general cargo expansion, said Abdul Aziz Ali Shanfari, port chairman.
