Halifax Board Keeps Oldfield at Port's Helm

The board of directors of Nova Scotia’s Halifax Port Authority has renewed Karen Oldfield’s contract as president and CEO for a five-year term, effective Jan. 1, 2013. Her new contract will expire on Dec. 31, 2017.

“Ms. Oldfield and her management team have been instrumental in guiding our port through challenging times, ensuring diversification and significantly enhancing our outreach to new markets while building our infrastructure capabilities and maintaining a solid financial base,” said Geoff Machum, chair of the board of directors.
