Romanian Ports' Container Traffic Rises 3.2 Percent

The Port of Constanta in Romania reported container traffic through the country’s ports in 2012 was 684,059 20-foot-equivalent units, rising 3.2 percent from 662,796 TEUs in 2011.

The total traffic of goods through the country’s ports in 2012 was 50.6 million metric tons, rising 10 percent from 46.0 million metric tons in 2011. Maritime traffic accounted for 38.9 million metric tons, and river traffic accounted for 11.7 million metric tons.
