The European Union will co-finance, with more than 2.2 million euros (about US$2.9 million) from the trans-European transport network program, studies analyzing options to improve rail connections to France’s Port of Dunkirk, as well as the design for the construction of a liquefied natural gas bunkering station.
The two studies were selected for funding under the 2011 TEN-T Annual Call and will each receive about $1.5 million from the EU. They are scheduled for completion in 2014.
