Port of Bilbao's Container Traffic Rises 3 Percent

Spain’s Port of Bilbao reported goods traffic in the first two months of 2013 increased 10 percent year-over-year to 4.8 million metric tons.

Container goods rose 3 percent in January and February, while conventional traffic fell by 3 percent.

The port also recently appointed Carlos Alzaga as its new director. He had previously been the territorial director of Ports of Biscay in Spain.
