LONDON, 6 July 2015 — DP World London Gateway has appointed Andy Browning as Cargo Supply Chain Manager.

Andy brings more than 30 years of experience designing and establishing global supply chain and logistics solutions that drive efficiency and unlock value. His career to date has featured achievements at both international and European level, within the fast-moving consumer goods, automotive and retail sectors.

He joins the DP World London Gateway team from global, specialist beverage logistics company JF Hillebrand, where he worked as Supply Chain and Logistics Solutions Development Manager, focusing on end-to-end solutions for a wide range of blue chip brands and leading retailers. Andy commenced work at DP World London Gateway on Monday, June 29.

Located just 25 miles from Central London, the state-of-the-art port-hub opened in November 2013 and is positioned closer to two-thirds of the U.K. market. Its superior technology is bringing reliability and integrity to U.K. supply chains, allowing the port to remain open in strong winds and keep goods moving.

Andy Browning, Cargo Supply Chain Manager at DP World London Gateway, said: “I am delighted to take up this role at London Gateway.

"I am joining at a time when consumers demand increased value and lowest cost, which in turn is challenging supply chains and product owners.

“The development at London Gateway is future proofed to accommodate changing behaviours; it is well equipped to meet the rigorous challenges of its users and to meet the demands of end consumers. I have experienced, first-hand, these values at London Gateway during the last 18 months in my former role.”
