ILA Negotiations: Where Are They Headed?

The deadline for a contract agreement between the International Longshoremen's Association and the United States Maritime Alliance is less than a month away and talks between both sides have completely stalled. JOC Editors Bill Mongelluzzo and Joseph Bonney discuss the implecations for East, Gulf and West Coast ports, the carriers and the customers if a strike or lockout begins on Oct. 1 at this year's Inland Port Logistics Conference.
