CMA CGM on Tuesday announced changes in the port rotations of its two trans-Atlantic Liberty Bridge services and its St. Laurent service as part of what it called its normal policy of re-appraisal of container routes.
The French carrier said it will add a call at Norfolk to Loop 1 of its westbound Liberty Bridge service, and at Jacksonville as a direct call on its eastbound leg and will make New York the last port call before crossing the Atlantic. The changes to Loop 1 take effect as of Dec. 1.
The rotation of Liberty Bridge Loop 1 (Loop NWA) will be:
Westbound: Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Le Havre, New York, Norfolk and Charleston.
Eastbound: Miami, Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston, New York and Bremerhaven.
The schedule for Liberty Bridge Loop 2, (Loop Maersk) will be:
Westbound only: Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, New York, Charleston, Savannah and Miami.
The St. Laurent line, which is operated in a vessel-sharing agreement with Maersk Line, will be modified as of Dec. 26. The North Europe to Canada rotation will be from Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, Montreal and back to Bremerhaven.
