New Global Head of Industrial for Damco

28 August 2012 – Effective since August 1, 2012, Damco has appointed Steve Hoffman as Global Head for the Industrial Vertical. Steve Hoffman will be responsible for developing the global strategy for Damco’s customers within the areas of industrial manufacturing.

Part of Damco’s growth strategy is to offer customers within the retail, lifestyle, perishables, technology, chemical and industrials industry segments the products they need to move their goods from one end of the world to the other without hassle, at low cost and with full visibility.

Steve Hoffman has over 30 years of industry experience in operations, business development and account management. Prior to joining Damco, Steve was with Kuehne + Nagel in a similar role of leading the industrial vertical in North America. Prior to this employment he worked for Panalpina as the global leader of the Automotive Vertical. He is based out of Itasca, IL (CHI) and reports to Global Head of Strategic Sales Steve Sienkiewicz.

Steve Hoffman joins Damco at a time of steady progress and high expectations, especially in growth markets. Having just realized 42% growth on EBIT in H1 of 2012, compared to the same period in 2011, Damco is delivering on its ambitious growth path, to become a top player in the global logistics industry.

“It is very exciting to join Damco at this point in time. The prospects of delivering to the industrial sector are very promising,” Steve Hoffman said.

Steve is married to Hilde and they have two grown children.
