Zim to Add Piraeus Call

Mediterranean, Asia, North America lane to add Greek port in May

Zim Integrated Shipping Services plans to upgrade its Zim Container Service linking the Mediterranean, Asia and North America, effective in May.

In a statement, the Israeli carrier said the weekly service, operating with 15 vessels of 5,000 TEUs each, will now add a direct call at Piraeus, Greece.

"For years, Zim has been committed to serving the Greek market offering a regular container service designed to support our customers," it said.

The upgraded ZCS port rotation will be Piraeus, Haifa, Livorno, Genoa, Tarragona, Halifax, New York, Savannah, Kingston, Long Beach, Oakland, Shekou, Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Balboa, Kingston, Savannah, New York, Halifax, Tarragona, and back to Piraeus.

The first vessel in the new rotation will be the Zim Panama, expected to arrive at Piraeus on May 17.
