OOCL Adds Emergency Charge

Additional charge applies from March 1 to 20 on shipments from China to Canada

Orient Overseas Container Line will impose an emergency relief charge effective March 1 on shipments from Hong Kong, Macau and South China to Canada.

The surcharge, which applies to all dry and refrigerated cargo, will be $320 per 20-foot equivalent unit, $300 per 40-foot equivalent unit, $340 per 40-foot high cube and $380 per 45-foot high cube container. The charge will remain in effect until March 20.
