Oceania VSA Service to Add Vessel

The member lines of the Oceania Vessel Sharing Agreement (Hamburg Süd, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Line, and ANL-USL) are planning to add an additional vessel to the weekly Pacific Southwest String (PSW) operating between the west coast of North America and Australia/New Zealand. An extra ship will join the service in late February.

The PSW service will utilize seven 2,500-TEU vessels calling Long Beach, Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, Tauranga, Suva (twice monthly), Honolulu (once monthly), Oakland, Long Beach.

In addition to the PSW string, the Oceania VSA will continue to operate the fortnightly Pacific Northwest String (PNW) with 4 vessels, calling Seattle, Vancouver, and Long Beach and then Tauranga, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, with return via Auckland, Papeete (Tahiti), and Ensenada (Mexico) to Oakland and Seattle.
