Ocean Carriers to Launch Asia-South America Joint Service

CSCL, Hanjin, CMA CGM, Hyundai Merchant Marine offer weekly run

China Shipping Container Lines, Hanjin Shipping, CMA CGM and Hyundai Merchant Marine will launch a direct joint service from Asia to Mexico and the West Coast of South America, starting on Sept.13.

The Asia-Latin America West Coast Express will offer a direct weekly sailing with a 70-day round trip

The ALW will use 10 vessels with capacity of 2,350 to 2,550 20-foot equivalent units and 300 reefer plugs.

CSCL and Hanjin will deploy four ships each; CMA CGM and HMM will deploy one each.

The port rotation of the ALW service will be: Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Manzanillo, Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Callao, Iquique, Valparaiso, SanVicente, Manzanillo, Pusan, Shekou.
