NYK Logistics (Americas) Taps Nolan

Former AMB executive named senior vp of NVOCC, customs brokerage division

NYK Logistics (Americas) has named Timothy J. Nolan as the position of senior vice president and general manager of its non-vessel-operating common carrier and customs house brokerage division.

He reports to Anthony Chiarello, chief operating officer of NYK Logistics (Americas), which is based in Secaucus, N.J.

Prior to joining NYK Logistics, Nolan was vice president of global customer development for AMB Property Corp.

Nolan's focus has been in the railroad, trucking, domestic distribution, third-party logistics and consumer product segments.

He also spent a number of years with Maersk Line and Maersk Logistics in the Americas.

His positions with Maersk included; senior director of strategy and strategic Initiatives, director responsible for the company's ocean and air freight forwarding unit (DSL, now rebranded as DAMCO), and regional director for Florida, Mexico and Central America regions for the company's logistics unit.
