Ocean carrier expands core trade lane

MOL said it will revise the port coverage on its Asia-East Coast South America Service by adding calls at Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Pusan and Shanghai.

The revised port rotation of the CSW service is Xingang, Dalian Qingdao, Pusan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Paranagua, Sao Francisco Do Sul, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, Ngqura, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Xingang.

"This change is in line with MOL's strategy of expanding one of its core trade lanes,” said T.K. Konishi, general manager of MOL’s liner division.

The new service rotation will go into effect with the departure of the "MOL Dignity" from Xingang on March 25.
