
NYK Group Americas on Friday named Peter Keller, currently president of NYK (North America), to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Keller, who will take over his new position on April 1, will work with Tony Nozaki, president and CEO of NYK Group Americas in providing groupwide oversight and policy direction to the group’s operating companies, which include NYK Line (North America), NYK Logistics (Americas), Ceres Terminals and Yusen Terminals.
Replacing Keller as president of NYK Line (North America) will be Tomoo Kitayama, who most recently served as executive vice president and has years of experience in the international liner trades with NYK.
William (Bill) Payne will assume the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer of NYK Line (North America).
Payne, who most recently held the position of senior vice president of trade, has 20 years of experience with NYK in various positions in trade, operations, and sales in various U.S. locations.
All of these positions will continue to be located at NYK Group headquarters in Secaucus, N.J.
