Hanjin Shipping plans to expand its use of the e-commerce services provided by INTTRA, the Internet portal that was founded by a group of carriers a decade ago to create efficiencies for carriers by enabling shippers to book their cargo electronically.
Hanjin chose to expand services through INTTRA because it has “more connections to the world's largest container freight customers than any other platform,” said K.B. Lee, Hanjin’s head of global customer service. “INTTRA can accelerate e-commerce adoption and efficiency for Hanjin," he said.
INTTRA said it has an active network of more than 20,000 corporate locations in 85 countries and initiates more than 300,000 container orders a week or 10 percent of global container shipments.
