Evergreen to Upgrade China-U.S. West Coast Service

Transit time improves to 12 days from Shanghai to Los Angeles

Evergreen Line announced plans to upgrade its China-South U.S. West Coast-China Service (CPS) and Asia-U.S. East Coast Service (AUE) with improved transit times on the route.

The Taiwan-based carrier said the CPS, calling Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Los Angeles, Oakland and Xingang, will now offer a transit time of 12 days from Shanghai to Los Angeles.

The first vessel in the revised schedule will be the 6,332-TEU Hatsu Envoy, expected to sail from Xingang on April 18.

The AUE Service, providing direct coverage between Asia and the U.S. East Coast, will offer a transit time of 24 days between Yantian and Savannah.

The existing AUE rotation is Taipei, Hong Kong, Yantian, Kaohsiung, Colon, Savannah, New York, Baltimore, Colon, and Taipei.

The first sailing operating with the upgraded schedule will be served by the 4,211-TEU Ever Diamond, expected to depart from Taipei on April 24.
