COSCO Hikes Rates in Two Lanes

COSCO Container Lines announced two rate hikes last week.

For shipments from the Far East to South America East Coast, rates will go up on Dec. 1. For shipments from North West Europe and Mediterranean (including Israel, Lebanon, Syria, North Africa, Black Sea Region) to South China (including Guangdong、Guangxi、Yunnan、Hainan Provinces), rates will go up on Jan. 1.

The increase in December will be $200 per 20-foot equivalent unit and $400 per 40-foot equivalent unit or high cube.

The January increase will be $65.87 per TEU and $102.46 per FEU.
