Carrier adds New Orleans, Venezuela calls to Gulf-Mexico-Caribbean Route

CMA CGM is upgrading its Gulf Bridge Express service linking the Gulf of Mexico, Mexico and the Caribbean with the addition of direct calls in New Orleans and Puerto Cabello, Venezuela.

The upgrade connects New Orleans directly or via Kingston, Jamaica, to the Caribbean and the Central and South American markets, the French carrier said.

Puerto Cabello will benefit from weekly direct connections from the U.S. Gulf, Mexico, Colombia and the Caribbean basin via Kingston.

Transit times will be among the fastest in the region, according to CMA CGM.

The Gulf Bridge Express service will call Puerto Cabello for the first time on Sept. 21 and New Orleans on Oct. 1.

The new rotation will be: New Orleans; Altamira and Veracruz, Mexico; Kingston; Cartagena, Colombia; Puerto Cabello and La Guaira, Venezuela; Kingston and New Orleans.
