Capacity Taking It Slow

Shippers aren’t counting on the new, larger vessels coming into container ship fleets to change the balance of capacity and demand anytime soon. That’s because they expect the tools carriers have used to manage capacity, including the practice of slow-steaming, to remain a feature of ocean shipping for the foreseeable future.
