Bunker Surcharges Increase

Higher fuel costs prompted two lines to raise bunker surcharges.

Great White Fleet’s bunker fuel surcharges will increase $100 per container, effective July 12. The increase will apply to all tariff and contract containers moving to or from the United States, Canada, South America, and Central America.

Containerships Ltd will increase its bunker surcharges for Baltic and North Sea services, for all shipments with a bill of lading date of June 17 or later. A table of the fees is online at JOCsailings.com.
