Subsidiary to include mid, upstream markets as energy sector expects boom

BDP Project Logistics created a new company, BDP Oil and Gas Logistics, that will be headquartered in Singapore and will serve the oil and gas industry supply chain.

BDP Project Logistics, a subsidiary of privately held BDP International, specializes in energy, chemical and petrochemical industry logistics. The new subsidiary will include mid and upstream market activities within the oil and gas supply chain. BDP’s customers include Shell, Exxon Mobil, DuPont, The Dow Chemical Company, INVISTA and Quinn Chemicals.

The energy sector is set to boom in the coming decade with an increase in exploration and production to meet the demands of emerging nations such as Brazil, Russia, India and China, said Martin Runshaug, commercial director of BDP Oil and Gas Logistics. These demands will generate the movement of large amounts of breakbulk and heavy-lift project cargo. "BDP Oil and Gas Logistics expects significant activity in the Middle East, the Commonwealth of Independent States, West Africa, Brazil, Vietnam, China, India, and Australasia as well as the arctic regions," he said.
