July's containerized export volume from Europe to North America reached its high since the JOC began collecting this data in January 2011, according to data from Container Trades Statistics. Exports rose year-over-year to all regions, with the exception exports to the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East, for a second straight month.

Containerized exports from Europe to Far East Asia increased year-over-year for the fifth straight month in June 2013, according to data from Container Trades Statistics. Exports rose to all regions except the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East; volume in that trade fell more than 2 percent. The biggest regional increase was seen in shipments from Europe to Far East Asia.

The volume of containerized exports from South and Central America to North America in May climbed to its highest level since October 2011, according to data from Container Trades Statistics, Ltd. Latin American exports saw increases in almost all trade lanes, with the exception of a large decline to sub-Saharan Africa.
