The Hong Kong-based China Navigation Co., a shipowning subsidiary of the Swire group, has launched the first of a series of eight S-class vessels at Zhejiang Ouhua Shipyard in China.
The Shansi is due to enter service at the end of March.
All eight of the new vessels are scheduled for deployment directly into Swire Shipping’s liner trades. The ships are each 31,000 deadweight tons and have a lift capacity of up to 120 tons.
