Vision Industries and Balqon have entered into a joint development agreement to build a zero-emissions hydrogen fuel cell/electric hybrid terminal tractor for distribution centers, railyards and marine terminals.
The agreement combines the Cargotec USA Kalmar chassis with Balqon's drivetrain and Vision's hydrogen fuel cell range-extender.
"We are very familiar with Balqon's technology and are excited to implement their drivetrain into our Zero-TT tractors," said Martin Schuermann, Vision Industries’ CEO, in a company statement.
