JOC Group Inc. Appoints Gavin Carter Chief Executive Officer

NEWARK, N.J. — JOC Group Inc. (formerly UBM Global Trade), the authoritative global provider of information and intelligence for professionals involved in trade, transportation and logistics, today announced that it has appointed Gavin Carter as Chief Executive Officer. Gavin succeeds John Day in the role.

As CEO, Gavin is responsible for expanding business relations, establishing technology thought leadership and providing strategic direction. He will continue JOC Group's efforts to improve the way the group disseminates news and information to the container trade community focusing on providing increasing customer value and innovation.

Having joined UBM Global Trade in March 2009 as CIO, Gavin was subsequently appointed EVP of UBM Global Trade's data businesses where he led an organizational transformation which included scaling infrastructure, reorganizing the group's products and promoting a culture of innovation.
