Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA short-listed for the European Small and Mid-cap Awards 201318.11.2013 (WWASA)Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA is among three companies quoted on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE) now short-listed for the European Small and Mid-cap Awards 2013. The awards are part of a Europe-wide competition to highlight the best European small and medium enterprises who have gained access to capital markets via an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The winning companies will be revealed at a special awards ceremony in Brussels on 19 November 2013. The short-listed nominations from OSE are:
Borregaard ASA (www.borregaard.com): Headquartered in Sarpsborg, Norway, Borregaard operates one of the world's most advanced and sustainable biorefineries. In April this year the company inaugurated its biorefinery demonstration plant, which showcases its innovative technology used for the production of green chemicals and sugars based on biomass from wood, agricultural and forestry waste. The company is nominated in the category of Most innovative newcomer. Veripos Inc. (www.veripos.com): Headquartered in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Veripos is a provider of precise satellite positioning services for navigation and survey users. It is currently working on projects that utilise such EU technology as the European Space Agency’s Galileo satellites. The company is nominated in the category of Rising star. Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA (www.wilhelmsen.com): Headquartered at Lysaker, Norway, Wilh. Wilhelmsen is a world leader in the ocean transportation of rolling cargo. As its customers develop a more geographically diverse production process, Wilh. Wilhelmsen is actively globalising its trade lanes and network into emerging markets. The company is nominated in the category of Most internationally-minded newcomer.
The Awards are a joint initiative by the European Commission, leading European Stock Exchanges and EuropeanIssuers. Companies have been nominated by their listed exchanges in four categories:

• Rising star.
