Rena, a container ship owned by Costamare, has been grounded on a reef in the Bay of Plenty off the Port of Tauranga since Oct. 5, which forced the vessel to snap in two and eventually sink. Hundreds of containers sank along with the ship, although many were saved beforehand. The photos below show Rena from the time of grounding last year to January 2012, at which point Rena was completely under water.
