Stanley Named CEO at Intermarine

Alfred J.V. “Al” Stanley has joined project and heavy-lift carrier Intermarine as president and CEO, succeeding Andre Grikitis, who will become operating chairman.

Stanley most recently was a partner at Morgenthaler Partners, a firm with $3 billion assets under management. Before joining Morgenthaler in 2004, he was president and CEO of GE Insurance Solutions’ Global Life & Health Reinsurance Unit; executive vice president and chief operations officer of GE Insurance Solutions (formerly Employers Reinsurance Corp); and chairman and CEO of GE International – Mexico.

Intermarine operates 25 shallow-draft vessels worldwide, including a liner service between North and South America, and has six U.S.-flag heavy-lift/project vessels. The company also owns and operates Industrial Terminals, a project cargo load center in Houston.
