Maersk Line will raise its rates on services from the Indian subcontinent to the U.S. and Canada, starting Aug. 15.
Rates on dry cargo will go up by $225 per 20-foot, $300 per 40-foot, $350 per 40-foot high cube and $375 per 45-foot container.
Reefer shipments will attract increases of $300 per 40-foot, $350 per 40-foot high cube and $375 per 45-foot container.
The Danish carrier will also boost rates on trades from Far East Asia to the east coast of South America. Effective Aug. 15, the planned increase will be $500 per 20-foot and $1,000 per 40-foot/45-foot high cube dry container.
