The European Shipping Council on Friday elected Denis Choumert as its new chairman.
Choumert, director of procurement and logistics for Ciments Calcia, succeeds Dick van den Broek, who has been the ESC chairman for the last 10 years.
Choumert, who is well known in the French and Benelux transport and logistics industry, has been a long-standing member of the French Shippers’ Council of which he is also the president.
