Port Corpus Christi named Dennis J. DeVries as its director of finance as of July 1.
DeVries replaces Daniel Hodgkins, the port’s chief financial officer who is retiring June 30 after 37 years.
Dennis J. DeVries began his professional career at the port as chief accountant in 1984 and was promoted to the position of controller in 1987.
Hodgkins, who was hired in 1973 as an accountant, became accounting supervisor in 1977, was promoted to director of finance in 1980 and served as CFO since 2000.
