Zim Integrated Shipping Services has announced that Zim Container Service Atlantic will add a second call in New York on its eastbound route, starting this month.
The weekly, fixed-day service will have the following rotation: Haifa, Israel; Piraeus, Greece; Genova, Italy; Tarragona, Spain; Halifax, Nova Scotia; New York; Savannah, Ga.; Kingston, Jamaica; New York; Tarragona; and Ashdod, Israel.
The new rotation improves transit times to both west and east Mediterranean. Via Zim’s hub in Haifa, further connections to major east Mediterranean destinations are available. The new rotation will improve service specifically for refrigerated cargo from New York City to Mediterranean destinations.
