U.S. Lines has postponed its general rate increase for dry cargo from all origins to all destinations in the trans-Pacific westbound trade to March 1. The carrier originally planned to increase rates on Feb. 18.
Excluding cargo shipped to Australia and New Zealand, the rate hike will be $160 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot high-cube containers.
The increase does not apply to refrigerated cargo, open tops and flat racks.
