OOCL recently announced changes to Israel terminal-handling charges and rate increases for Canada's trans-Pacific westbound trade.
Effective Jan. 1, 2013, the Hong Kong-based container carrier will implement an Israel terminal-handling surcharge of $215 per 20-foot-equivalent unit and $300 per 40-foot-equivalent unit for dry containers, and $255 per TEU and $325 per FEU for refrigerated containers.
The company also will increase rates on all dry cargo from Canada to Asia, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent, effective Jan. 15, 2013. Rates will increase $120 per TEU and $150 per 40-foot/45-foot/high-cube container.
