Starting April 1, OOCL will hike rates on all cargo on its trade from Southeast Asia to Australia by $200 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.
Southeast Asia includes Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Indian subcontinent and Middle East.
Rates for traffic from Asia to New Zealand will increase by US$250 per TEU on the same date.
The ocean carrier will also increase rates on all cargo on its Europe to Asia trade, effective April 1. The increase will be $200 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container.
