NYK Line said it will implement an Oct. 1 general rate increase for trans-Atlantic cargo.
The increase will be $400 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-footer on westbound shipments from North Europe origins to all U.S. and Canada destinations.
Eastbound, the increase will be $200 per 20-footer and $300 per 40-footer from the East and Gulf coasts and $400 per 20-footer and $500 per 40-footer from U.S. and Canadian west coast ports.
