Ocean container carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. will increase rates on its trade route from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to North Europe and west Mediterranean, including Israel, effective March 15.
From Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to the United Kingdom and west Mediterranean, the rate hike will be $150 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container, MSC said. The increase from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to the Scandinavian and Baltic regions, as well as relay areas, will be $200 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container.
