Maersk Line North America named Gordon Dorsey vice president of global contract execution for U.S. military and government cargo services, effective July 1.
Dorsey will be responsible for ensuring effective execution of U.S. military and government cargo business throughout the Maersk Line global organization.
Dorsey, who joined Maersk in 2004, has held positions in corporate communications and health, safety and environmental compliance. He has served as regional manager of North American inland operations since 2008.
Prior to Maersk, he was a member of the management team at the Exelon Dresden Nuclear Power Station. He also completed a career in the U.S. Navy at the rank of captain.
He will be based in Arlington, Va.
Craig L. Mygatt was named Maersk Line North America’s new regional manager of North American inland operations, replacing Dorsey. Mygatt’s responsibilities will include inland intermodal services, dispatch operations, equipment control and the Maersk domestic transportation service.
With Maersk since 1989, Mygatt was previously senior director of North America trade and marketing, based in Madison, N.J., and has held positions in Northeast sales, Central America services, Pacific services, New York sales and global sales. He will be based in Charlotte, N.C.
