Maersk Line Ends Gioia Tauro Booking Acceptance

Maersk Line is ceasing to accept bookings to and from Gioia Tauro, Italy.

The last expected call is the Ecem Kalkavan, voyage 1319, with an expected departure on March 8. Export bookings will be accepted until this departure, while acceptance of import bookings has ended already.

Separately, the carrier also said that it will apply a weight discrepancy fee of 35 euros, starting Feb. 1, whenever there is an inconsistency in weight class between booking and loading at the Italian port of Livorno (Leghorn).
