The Container Owners Association, which represents container shipping lines and container leasing companies, has appointed O I Kwon, senior vice president of the container business management division of STX Panocean, to its board of directors.
Kwon joins six other directors on the board, including newly appointed Chairman Michael Callus, vice president of container management at United Arab Shipping Co.
“This position carries considerable responsibility, and I will do my best to promote the COA in Asia and to support the wide range of initiatives that the COA is working on,” Kwon said in a written statement.
