"K” Line has stopped its executives from traveling to China as a precautionary measure as protests over a territorial dispute with Japan continue to spread across major Chinese cities.
“From today, we’ve forbidden our staff from going to China,” a “K” Line spokesman told the press. “We will decide on when to lift the ban depending on the situation.”
While “K” Line has halted official visits to China because of safety concerns, the Japanese company’s vessel and office operations in China remain normal. It has had no plan to evacuate its 15 Japanese executives who are based in China, the spokesman said.
