Hapag-Lloyd to Raise India-North America Rates

Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates on its trade from the Indian subcontinent to the U.S. and Canada, effective March 15.

From India to the U.S. and Canada, the increase will be $340 per 20-foot container, $425 per 40-foot container, $478 per 40-foot high-cube container and $538 per 45-foot container.

From Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the hike will be $320 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container, $450 per 40-foot high-cube container and $506 per 45-foot container.

The rates apply to all dry, refrigerated, flat-rack and open-top containers.
