Hapag-Lloyd Hikes Asia-Americas Rates

Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to Mexico, Central America, the west and east coasts of South America, Panama and the Caribbean on March 1 by $300 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.

The German ocean carrier has again revised the terminal handling charges in Venezuela for import and export cargo, effective March 1. The charges are $100 per exported unit for dry cargo and $180 per imported unit for all types of equipment, with the exception from Europe and America to Maracaibo, which will remain $250 per box.
