Hapag-Lloyd has announced several rate increases that will take effect on April 1.
The ocean carrier will increase rates for all cargoes and container types on its trade from Japan to the Red Sea and Persian Gulf by $500 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.
From Japan to East Asia, and vice versa, rates will be increased by $150 per TEU.
Additionally, from Japan to the Indian subcontinent, the increase will be $300 per TEU.
The German company has also revised its New Zealand export container detention free time, effective April 1.
