Hapag-Lloyd to Hike Indian Subcontinent-Latin America Rates

Ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates for all cargoes and container types from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to Mexico, Central America (including Panama), the west and east coasts of South America, and the Caribbean.

Effective Feb. 1, 2013, the company said, rates will go up by $500 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.
